Wayne M. Adams is a Senior Technologist and Director of Standards within the Office of the CTO, responsible for expanding and managing EMC technology initiatives with the industry standards bodies. Wayne has proudly served on the SNIA Board of Directors since 2003 and was previously elected Chair for two years.

Wayne also is a Board Member for the DMTF technology association and serves as the Vice President of Marketing. Within EMC, previous managing positions include partner management and software product management, where responsibilities included API licensing and product lifecycle management for Storage Resource Management, SAN Management, and I/O pathing product lines. Prior to EMC, Wayne was responsible for product marketing and business development of various strategic software and hardware products at Digital Equipment Corporation.

He started his high-tech career at Eastman Kodak as a system designer of real-time control systems. Wayne holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a dual major in Computer

 

Kamran AminiKamran Amini

Kamran Amini is Director and Business Line Executive for IBM BladeCenter. Kamran has responsibility for all facets of IBM’s BladeCenter business including strategy, marketing, sales enablement, technology development and overall financial performance.

Previously, he was Program Director for BladeCenter & System x Development. In that role he provided leadership for the technical direction and development of BladeCenter and mainstream 2 sockets x86 rack server products. Kamran has held a variety of other management positions within System x development organization.

Educationally, Mr. Amini earned his bachelors and master’s of science in Electrical Engineering from Florida Atlantic University. He then continued his education at the University of North Carolina where he earned an MBA at the Kenan Flagler Business School.

She is the Sustainability Practice Advisor for Redemtech, working with Redemtech’s customers in support of their sustainability initiatives, including education, evangelizing and reporting on sustainability choices, metrics and goals. As an industry analyst she was Research Director of Sustainability and Green IT at Aberdeen Group, CEO of Baroudi Bloor International, and Vice President at Hurwitz Group. Her other books include the first 11 editions of The Internet For Dummies, Service Oriented Architecture for Dummies, Mastering COBOL, Internet Secrets, and Email For Dummies. There are more than 7 million copies of her books in print.

Prior to APC, Carl spent 10 years with Russ Electric, Inc., a manufacturer of power control and protection systems.

 

Mark Harris

As Vice President of Marketing at Server Technology Inc. of Reno Nevada, Mark Harris is responsible for the creation and execution of all aspects of presenting Server Technology to customers, analysts and partners. This includes the tactical marketing communications role, as well as the development of strategic marketing initiatives which drive new ways of thinking.

Before being named to his current position at Server Technology, Harris served in various senior roles within the Physical layer of the IT sector, including executive sales and marketing positions at Raritan, Avocent, and Cyclades. He also held executive level positions with both Cabletron and Extreme Networks during the formative years when Gigabit networking was just beginning to take hold throughout the industry.

Harris began his career with a long career with Digital Equipment Corporation (now HP), taking increasingly senior positions focused on commercial systems and networking solutions, most notably as a founding member of the core team introducing the world’s first volume LAN attached product lines

Harris is a 1983 graduate of Arizona State University near Phoenix.

 

Keith Jackson

Keith Jackson has over 20 years of experience in Engineering and Sales Management. He was originally with Rees Scientific where he managed the National sales and service teams. There he focused on the deployment and specification of environmental monitoring hardware and software solutions. For the last 12 years he’s been working with Raritan, Inc., specifying and deploying mission critical systems to improve; energy management, remote infrastructure access, and capacity planning. Keith has been engaged with over a hundred data centers, working closely with data center managers, consultants, channel representative and ecosystem partners to find hardware and software solutions that increase efficiency, security, and sustainability while reducing costs.

Keith holds a Bachelor’s degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Electrical Engineering. He is also an active member of AFCOM, 24×7, BICSI and the Green Grid. In addition, Keith is also the Executive Director of Next Level Youth, a non-profit organization promoting education and athletics to at-risk children.
